Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies the result. Mesa County Court Docket does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained so that we can answer it. We keep such messages within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the website's systems automatically receive basic technical and usage information, which may include:
- Page-view dates and times
- Your device's IP address
- The referring website, when available
- Browser type and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure matters such as popular pages and where visits end. Analytics providers combine traffic information for that purpose. You may block cookies through your browser, although doing so can change how parts of the website function.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the website and maintaining reasonable load times
- Directing a search request to the appropriate partner
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Mesa County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It provides general directions to records held by Mesa County District Court, Mesa County Court, municipal courts, and the Clerk of Court, Mesa County Combined Court. Court-record access is governed by Colorado Chief Justice Directive 05-01, not by this privacy policy. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through a box is handled under that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Colorado Judicial Branch, the Mesa County Combined Court, municipal courts, legal-aid resources, Colorado Courts Record Search, or other outside services. Once you follow an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across websites to select targeted advertising. That processing takes place through the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may nevertheless be disclosed to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process queries submitted through their tools
- Advertising networks that place advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when disclosure is compelled by a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard security measures are used to protect collected data. No internet-connected service can guarantee perfect security, however, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor submitted such data, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on residency and whether an exception applies, the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. § 6-1-1301 et seq., may provide rights regarding visitor data. Available requests may include the right to:
- Access personal information held about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Ask for deletion of covered personal information
- Opt out of certain covered processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised from time to time. A revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review the current version when they need to understand our practices.
